Ensign Elementary has 20 new student authors.

And illustrators and publishers, for that matter.Second- and third-graders in Mitzi Barrow's class wrote original stories, drew pictures, sewed them together and made covers for their works, which were on display at the Salt Lake City Library.

"The kids just showed so much creativity and a lot more ability than people think a second-grader can handle," Barrow said.

Stories run the gamut, including one about a boy who is transformed into a dragon, then back to a boy but only if he agreed no more wishes could come true.
