Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Vickie, died June 18, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 24, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Duane J. and Venna Blood Nash. Vickie graduated from Kearns High School in 1969 and married Randy Sorenson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 23, 1969. They were happily married for 29 years. Vickie was a very loving person, always more concerned for others than herself. She kept hands and hearts warm with lots of hugs and afghans. She will be remembered by her family as more than a wife and mother but as a cherished friend.Vickie was an active member of the LDS church serving many callings. She especially enjoyed her position as Laurel advisor. She was employed by the Pioneer Valley Hospital for over 10 years and most recently by the USPS.

She is survived by her husband, Randy; children: Steven (Jenny); Duane "Dee"; Nichole (Cris Astin); and Patricia "Trish"; her mother, Venna; and brothers: Duane "Dee" Nash; and Russell Nash. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, porcelain dolls, friends, Rocky, Duffy, and George Strait. She was preceded in death by her father, Duane J. Nash.

Funeral service will be held Monday June 22, 1998 1 p.m. in the Taylorsville North Central Stake Center, 3120 West 4700 South. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and Monday 12-12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
