Rosenberg kin call on U.S. to clear parents of spying

The sons of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg have called for the government to clear their parents on the 45th anniversary of their execution on charges of stealing atom bomb secrets.

Robert and Michael Meeropol, who use the name of their adoptive family, said documents released in recent years prove their parents did nothing illegal.The brothers want the Justice Department, which prosecuted the Rosenbergs, to declare them innocent of espionage.
