Just two days after being declared a federal disaster area, western New York's Wyoming County was under water again as floods killed two people and forced 150 others from their homes.

The floods were caused by slow-moving thunderstorms that pushed slowly across the state Wednesday. The rain fell hardest in western New York, dumping six inches in some places.Two people drowned while trying to save animals in the basement of a flooded Attica pet clinic. Rachel Tigges, 28, and Jason Walko, 17, were trapped by a sudden surge of water that went over their heads, police said.
