Flood-stricken villagers cross the Dhaleswari River near Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, Friday. The floods, caused by heavy rain, have killed at least 242 people and left millions marooned. Boats have become the main mode of transportation as roads and highways in all 37 districts have been inundated. The annual monsoon season is in full swing in the nation of more than 100 million people located to the east of India. Bangladesh is a little larger than Arkansas.
