Four Salt Lake Valley Intermountain Health Care hospitals have received stamps of approval from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's top health-care accrediting body.

Alta View Hospital in Sandy, Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City and The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Murray each received three-year accreditations after recent on-site reviews showed the hospitals meet or exceed the commission's nationally recognized health-care standards.
