College football suffered through many muscle cramps across the nation last weekend. Muscle cramps should not happen, and they are almost totally preventable. Some individuals are more susceptible than others. Muscle cramps occur through conditions of dehydration, hot and/or humid temperatures and even mental stress. What you drink can either cause or prevent these muscle cramps. Highly alkaline water is what you drink to prevent cramps.

Soda pop like Coke is highly acidic. Coke has a pH level of 2.75. A pH level of 7.0 is the dividing line between acidic and alkaline. Coke also has an electro potential of +250, which is a positive charge. This spells trouble for muscle cramps. Sport drinks like Gatorade are not much better. Gatorade has a pH level of 3.20 and an electro potential of +225.Tap water found in the populated areas of Utah has a pH level of about 7.3, which is slightly alkaline and has a negative electro reading of -35, which is good. However, just by simply adding a coral-calcium supplement to a bottle of your drinking water, the pH level is improved to over 9.0 with a negative electro potential reading of -125. This makes getting muscle cramps almost impossible.
