Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Saturday, September 19, 1998, while surrounded by his loving family after a valiant battle with emphysema.

George Gilbert Salmon was born April 16, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Lorenzo Snow Salmon and Helen Hauerbach Hardman. Gil married Belva Lou Byard on September 10, 1949 in Salt Lake City. He served his country in World War II as a cauxsen on a military transport ship. He was an employee of Salt Lake County and retired as a materials engineer. Gil had a great love for the outdoors and loved to fish and hunt. His greatest love was his family.He is survived by his wife, Belva; son, Kevin (Lois) Salmon; daughter, Karen (Bill) Quigley. Seven grandchildren; one brother, Robert Salmon, of Tempe, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Paul.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Wednesday, September 23, 1998 at the Parleys 2nd Ward Chapel, 1870 East Parleys Canyon Blvd. (2315 So.) where friends may call prior to services from 10:45 to 11:45 am. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
