HELPER--Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Martin E. Farish, age 64, passed away Jan. 10, 1999 at the University of Utah Medical Center. Born May 11, 1934 in Spring Canyon, Utah, son of Robert and Bertha Ashbaugh Farish. Married Mary Lou Richardson on July 30, 1955 in Helper, Utah. Life-long resident of Carbon County, where he attended local schools. Former Carman with D&RGW and Southern Pacific railroads prior to retiring in 1994. Elected Helper City Council for four years and volunteer fireman for many years. Local chairman, Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen of America. Bus driver for Carbon School District for 15 years. Martin will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survived by wife, Mary Lou Farish, Helper; two daughters, one son and spouses, Shanna and Rick Hellmuth, Chandler, AZ; Tammy and Joe Hostetler, Tampa, FL; Martin Todd Farish, Helena, MT; five grandchildren, Travis, Luke, Chelsea, April, and Kyle; four brothers, James, Richard, Robert and George Farish; three sisters, Bertha Blackburn, Pat Paiz, Judy Halverson. Preceded in death by parents, and brother, Ernie Hight. Funeral service Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, 1 p.m. Mitchell Chapel. Family will be at Mitchell's Thursday evening 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Mtn. View Cemetery, Helper, Utah. T 1/12N 1/12
