Hazel S. Torgenson, 93, of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away on January 16, 1999 at the home of her daughter in Springville, Utah. Her son Blaine J. Torgenson and his wife Lila Rae were at her side.

She was born January 18, 1906 in Glenwood, Utah to Richard Claudius and Estella Rebecca Sampson. Hazel married Joseph Clinton Torgenson on October 10, 1923 in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1977. She worked in the LDS Church through out her life. She was in the Mutual Presidency, Primary Teacher, visiting teacher, and a faithful Temple worker.She is survived by two sons: Don C. (Tille) Torgenson of Sioux City, Iowa; Blaine J. (Lila Rae) Torgenson of Salina, Utah; one daughter: Norma (C.Kay) Sturdevant of Springville, Utah; 11 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Clinton), one brother, six sisters, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday January 21, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork Ninth Ward Chapel, 98 South Main. Friends and family may call Thursday morning one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina City Cemtery.
