CEDAR CITY--Morgan Slack, 84, passed away January 2, 1999, in Cedar City, Utah.

Morgan was born on January 14, 1914, in Toquerville, Utah, to Vernon Franklin and Encora Elizabeth Slack. He married Ethel Whitney Slack on April 5, 1933, in the St. George LDS Temple.Morgan is survived by his wife, Ethel of Cedar City; children, Gerald W. (Betty) Slack of Ogden, UT; Karen (Kerry) Reusch of Las Vegas, NV; Dennis (Shirley) Slack of Mt. Pleasant, UT; Cherrie Lynne (Gary) Miller of St. George and Salt Lake City, UT; and Vanda Marie (Sterling) Snarr of Murray, UT; 30 grandchildren; 40 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Viola Belle Bauer of Cedar City. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Gaylord and Whitney Slack; daughter, Elizabeth Slack; brothers, Vernon, Oliver, Fredric, John, Merlin, and Edgar; and sisters, Hannah, Iva, Elizabeth, and Ada.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 1999, at the LDS 2nd and 8th Ward Chapel. Friends may call Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. and Tuesday morning, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary. Interment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery.
