Marjorie Olson Hasler, died on December 31, 1998 at the Garden Terrace Alzheimers Center in Salt Lake City where she resided for the past year.

Marj had been a resident in Golden, CO for 35 years, having previously lived in Grand Junction, CO, Salt Lake City, Provo, UT and Kellogg, ID. She was born to Arvil and Alta Olson on October 27, 1917 in Provo, UT. On November 18, 1938 she was married for time and all eternity to J. William "Bill" Hasler in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.Marj served faithfully in many callings in her church and responsibilities in her community.

Her smile, keen sense of humor, and graciousness that she exhibited throughout her life, increased with her years as she endured to the end. As her health required additional assistance, she was blessed to be cared for by many who genuinely loved her.

The memory of her vibrant spirit and dynamic presence will remain always in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne (Lynn) Jefferies of Lakewood, CO; and sons, John (Marjorie E.) Hasler of Colorado Springs, CO; Richard (Julie) Hasler of Tintaya, Peru; and Stephen (Nan) Hasler of Highland, UT. Survivors also include 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include brothers: Jay Olson, Ivan Olson, Edwin Olson, and Stanley Olson; and sister Ethella Berry. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, her sister, Maxine St. Joer, and her parents.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 1999 at the Emigration 27th Ward, 185 "P" St. SLC. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will take place in the Golden, Colorado Cemetery.
