Beryl Mortensen Francom, age 80, passed away Thursday, September 30, 1999 at East Lake Care Center.
She was born November 8, 1918 in Logan, Utah, a daughter of Raymond Claire and Eugenia Roundy Mortensen. She married William Josepfette Renzello, March 9, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later divorced. She married Gerald Francis Donahue, November 7, 1953 in Tijuana, Mexico. They were divorced in 1975. She married George Houser Francom, December 8, 1984 in the Provo LDS Temple. He preceded her in death November 14, 1997.Beryl was educated in Salt Lake schools. She had worked at the Blue Bird Cafe in Logan and at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake. She was an avid hunter and enjoyed horseback riding. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and served as a Temple Worker for several years. Beryl experienced joys indescribable, such as her family, as well as hardships, such as her health difficulties. Most importantly she kept a cheerful attitude throughout her life and was a magnificent example of enduring to the end.
Survivors include two daughters and two sons, Rebecca (James E.) Hassinger, Bellevue, Washington, William Mortensen (Linda) Renzello, Spring Lake, Richard Joseph (Sue) Renzello, Eureka, Eugenia Louise Genie (Russell) Vest, Springville; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; two brothers; and one sister.
Services will be Tuesday, October 5, 1999, 10 a.m. in the Spring Lake First Ward, 12625 Spring Lake Road. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. or at the church Tuesday, 9-9:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Logan, Utah cemetery at 3 p.m.
