William Randy Carter, age 47, of Payson, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 1999 at the University of Utah Medical Center, the result of a tragic industrial accident.

Randy was born November 18, 1951 in Payson to William (Bill) and Jeanine Garity Carter. He married Karen Armstrong on July 21 1972, and they had one daughter, Tricia. They were later divorced. He married Connie Lou Smith on August 16, 1980. They had three sons, Aaron, Kurt and Corey. Connie passed away November 21, 1989.Randy graduated from Payson High School and Snow College. After completing his education, he went to work for Payson City. Throughout 27 years of employment, he has developed special friendships with his co-workers. Randy loved to fish and hunt, and spend time in the outdoors with his boys and family. He also enjoyed spending time with, and took pride in the many accomplishments of his daughter, Tricia.

He is survived by his four children, Tricia (Nathan) Aina of Orem; Aaron, Kurt and Cory Carter of Payson; his parents, William (Bill) and Jeanine Carter; and his brothers, Jeff (Pat) Carter, Clair (Cindy) Carter, and Marc (Chris) Carter, all of Payson; a special mother-in-law,

Leora Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 13, 1999, 11 a.m. in the Payson South LDS Stake Center, 711 South 600 East. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Friday, 6-8 p.m. or at

the church Saturday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the Payson Ambulance Association, Mt. View Hospital, and the very special staff at the University of Utah Burn/Trauma Center. They also would like to express gratitude to the employees and residents of Payson City. A trust fund for Randy's children has been established at Zions Bank.
