Alexander Smyth, PhD, psychologist, teacher and writer, died in a car accident near Woodville, Texas, November 17th. There will never be another soul like Alex. He touched so many, was much loved by all, and will be terribly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Fraser Smyth, of Houston; and their three children: Shawn, 21, at the University of Utah; Alessa, 19, at the University of Utah; and Christina, almost 17, attending school in Elmwood, Wisconsin. He is also survived by his father, William Smyth of Austin; brother, Aaron Smyth, of Phoenix; and sisters, Carlyse Smyth of London, Cornelia Smyth of Tucson, and Amy Villareal of Austin.A private memorial service was held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to support his children's college education.
