PRICE~Garaldine Shaw Nichols, age 59, died Nov. 25, 1999 in Price from a lengthy battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).
She was born Aug. 28, 1940 in Wellington, Utah to Garald C. and Wanda Irene Marsing Shaw. Married Fred Nichols Nov. 30, 1957 in Ely, NV.She was a lifelong resident of Carbon County where she worked as a crossing guard in Price for 22 years. Garaldine devoted her life to her family and loved her grandkids dearly. She loved camping, playing cards and was loved by all.
Survived by her loving husband Fred Nichols of Price; her mother Wanda Irene Shaw of Wellington; her children and their spouses Dennis and Nancy Nichols of Helper, Irene and Randy Everett of Carbonville, Darla and Ralph Huffman of Carbonville and Susan and Randy Perri of Spring Glen; her brother Alan and his wife Virginia Shaw of Price; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two more on the way.
Preceded in death by father and brother Harold J. Shaw.
Funeral service Tues., Nov. 30, 1999, 1 p.m. at Mitchell Chapel. Family will be at Mitchell's Mon. evening from 7-9 p.m. and Tues. one hour prior to services. Interment: Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
