The holidays are the most wonderful time of the year. Just because you are single doesn't make this time of year less special for you. The following are some ways that you can find joy:Count your blessings. It is far better to be single than to be married to a spouse who is not good for you.

Do all the things that you enjoy. Spread some cheer to others; go caroling to and with your friends. Participate and do the 12 days of Christmas for someone.

Be happy, alive. Go to the musical program at your local school. Attend a concert, a town play or musical.

Radiate the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Be a strong witness for the truth.

There are so many good and wonderful things you can do as a single person during the holidays, instead of being worked up about your singleness. There is never a greater moment than now. We need to be joyful not only at Christmas, but also always. Life is too wonderful to not find joy in every fleeting moment that we have.

We are grateful for our Savior, and we need to be that light to the world if we are single or married. One day I pray we will all be married, but until that blessed day comes, we need to be happy and enjoy the ride through our mortal existence. -- Lisa Smith, Kooskia, Idaho
