OGDEN--Beloved husband, father, and grandpa, John Clyde Braunberger, 68, died peacefully at home December 25, 1999.
He was born to John and Verness Burgi Braunberger Feb. 21, 1931 in Ogden, Utah. He attended schools in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. John married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Kay Lawrence-George July 27, 1951, they were sealed in the Ogden Temple July 27, 1974. They had four children together. Sharon preceded him in death. He later married Randee Spangler. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 348 where he worked as a plumber and pipefitter. John loved shooting with his brother, Dave, wood working, and making lots of toys.Surviving are his wife, Randee, Ogden; his children, SuzAnn (Marvin) Green, Ogden; Rod (Ramona) Braunberger, Bountiful; Ronda K. Braunberger, Ogden; Andrew (DeOnna) Braunberger, Ogden; his stepchildren, Cindi (Keith) Hellewell, Harrisville; Staci, (Zane) Pentz, Filmore; Scot (Jackie) Spangler, Ogden; 19 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; three brothers and two sisters, Alfred, David, and Floyd Braunberger, Vernamay Boss, and Darlene Pappas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Friends and family may call at the Mortuary on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment, Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
