Our beloved Mom, Omi, grandmother, great-grandmother, Marta Lords, returned home to her Heavenly Father, February 8, 1999.

Born July 12, 1920 in Ottloschin, Prussia, to Philipp and Luise Wilhelmine Kuhn Bauer. She was the ninth of 13 children. Married Heinz Duckwitz in Germany 1938, divorced 1951. She immigrated to this country in 1956. Married Fritz Hein in 1960, later divorced. Married Glenn Lords in 1969, divorced 1998. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings in Germany and here. Her greatest joy in life came while serving her Father in Heaven and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crewel work, music, and gardening. For all who knew Marta, flowers were her passion, especially her roses. She also loved animals and felt it her duty to care for each one. She was an excellent cook. She owned and operated the Beehive Deli for a number of years and had a clientele who really enjoyed her cooking. Her cooking as well as her sweet spirit will be missed by all.Survived by daughter, Margitta--Margie (Harold) Lehman, Salt Lake City; son, Norbert (Susan) Duckwitz, Orem; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Hundt, Germany, Anni (Juergen) Schulz, Sandy, Frida (Hans) Kindt, Milwaukee; and brother, Philipp (Martha) Bauer, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 1999, 2 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
