Angus Kerr Wilson, MD, died at St. Joseph's Villa, Salt Lake City, Wednesday, March 10, 1999.

Born in Creemore, Ontario, Canada, October 28, 1900, Angus was the eldest child of Thomas Albert Wilson and Laura Agusta Doane. He was raised and educated in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Canada. He entered the University of Toronto and graduated with a degree in medicine in June of 1926. While an intern at Regina General Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan, Angus met a young student nurse, Jessie Margaret Susan Allan, whom he married on December 26, 1927. Angus practiced General Medicine in Saskatchewan for six years, and then specialized in Radiology becoming a Board Certified Radiologist in 1938. He practiced Radiology in Elkins, West Virginia, Norfolk, Virginia and Salt Lake City, Utah. Angus was a pioneer in the field of Radiology in the State of Utah. He retired from private practice in 1971 and was employed by the Utah State Department of Social Services for ten years.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jessie, his brothers, Keith and Norman and his sister, Jean Grant. He is survived by his sons: The Rev. David S. (Shirley) Wilson, of Brandon Manitoba, Canada; James A .(Lynn) Wilson, of Sacramento, CA; granddaughters: Maxyne and Shannon, of Toronto, Ontario; and Deborah, of Seattle, Wa; grandsons: Christopher (Elizabeth), of Los Angeles, CA; Gregory (Mary), of Virginia Beach, VA; great-grandson, Lallo and great-granddaughter, Jessica.

Angus was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, past president of the Rocky Mountain Radiological Society, past Master of Acacia Lodge #17, F&AM as well as past president of the Salt Lake City Kawanis Club.

A memorial service celebrating the life and contribution that Angus made to service celebrating the life and contribution that Angus made to the community will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 12th and 'C' Street on April 16, 1999 at 2 p.m. Interment will be at 1 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Evans & Early are in charge of arrangements.
