Ruth M. (Hanagarne) Slaven, beloved wife, loving mother, and a most caring, kind, and giving person to all, passed away on March 12, 1999.
She was born on December 6, 1937 in Shiprock, New Mexico. She attended the Navajo Methodist Mission School in Farmington, New Mexico; the Waterflow Academy in Waterflow, New Mexico; and the McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. She was the Fannie Mae Senior Account Manager for Crossland Mortgage Corporation.Survivors include: husband, Lewis Slaven; son, Gary Slaven; daughter, Donna Coblentz; granddaughter, Akina, all of West Valley City, Utah; daughters, Vicki Smith of Los Alamos, New Mexico; Susan Slaven of Levittown, Long Island, New York; mother, Mrs. Cora Hanagarne; brother, Frank L. Hanagarne, both of Shiprock, New Mexico; and sister, Mrs. Paul K. Hodson (Betty) of Wichita, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, on Tuesday, March 16, 1999 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bob Heim of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park.
