Our Beloved Derick Dobson passed away on March 14, 1999.

He was born on October 7, 1975 in West Valley City, UT, to Ronald Dobson and Kathy Loveday. He graduated from Hunter High School in 1993. He Married Shannon Sorensen on August 5, 1995 in West Valley City.Derick was a beloved husband, father, son and brother. His goal was to have a house and a family. He loved to work with Ganaw at the shop. He worked at Dwamco as a welder/fitter. He is loved and missed very much by his wife, Shannon, and daughter, Kayla.

Derick was a man who was thoughtful, caring and always put others needs before his! Kayla Marie was daddy's pride and joy. He did everything to make sure she was happy. Hugs-n-kisses, Daddy, from Kayla.

Survived by his wife, Shannon, and daughter, Kayla Marie; mother and stepfather, Kathy and Craig Loveday; father and stepmother, Ron and Kathy Dobson; brothers and sisters: Bryan Dobson, Christy Edwards (Jason), Michelle and Sean Loveday, Kassandra and Danny Dobson; niece, BrittyAnn Edwards; grandparents, Don and Pauline Dobson, Helen Johanson, Ronald and Hallie Newsome, Beth Miller, Bob and Joann Jensen, Bob and Alicia Sorensen; in-laws: Penny Sorensen and Louie Ortiz, Robert and Jill Sorensen; brothers-in-law: Jason Sorensen, Nathan Sorensen; sister-in-law, Taybree Sorensen; special friend, Glen Anderson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday March 18,1999 at 11 a.m. at the Copperhill Wards Building, 4195 South 6000 West, West Valley City. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 17, 1999 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.
