Born Nov. 26, 1915 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. A graduate of Northwestern University Law School, Alan practiced law, built homes in Chicago, IL, prior to moving to Utah.
In 1954, while passing through Utah, Alan and his family fell in love with the mountains and made this their home. Here again, he practiced law, built homes and began a manufacturing company, McCormick Pump Co., which he operated until 1979. His two sons, Jim and Alan, brought him out of retirement. He became Hydro Engineering's legal advisor. He loved work and even more, he loved working with his sons.Alan McCormick had an unsurpassed positive attitude. We will certainly miss him.
