Royal Pierce Fisher died peacefully at his home in South Ogden on Saturday, February 27, 1999, from causes incident to age.

Royal was born in Clarkston, Utah, on December 22, 1914 to Harvey McClain Fisher and Francis Elmira Mae Whitney. He graduated from North Cache High School and attended the University of Utah. On January 1, 1941, he married Alice Rufener in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had eight children. He was a veteran of World War II. Royal was self-employed and lived in Salt Lake City, Bountiful, Mountain Green and Roy, Utah, prior to moving to South Ogden.

Survived by his wife, Alice, of South Ogden, three daughters and four sons: Shannon Crist, Bountiful; Diann (Dee) Linge, Murray; Art (Jan) Fisher, Centerville H. Blaine Fisher, Layton; T.J. (Paula) Fisher, Ogden; Bob P. Fisher, South Ogden; and Alison (Loran) Brumley, Layton; 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, one grandson and one son, R. Lynn Fisher.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, 1999 at 11 a.m. at the Uintah 4th Ward, 2142 East Eastwood Blvd., South Ogden, Utah. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery, Bountiful, Utah.
