Sometime before sunrise on April 20,1999 the angels came and took Victoria Lynn Phillips Jones home to her Heavenly Father. For most of her life she courageously battled various health problems which recently became more than her weary body could bear.

On June 15, 1946 she was lovingly welcomed to this earth by her parents Don R. and Roselyn Stringham Phillips of Tooele, Utah. She graduated from Tooele High School with the class of 1964 and worked for several years as a cosmetologist in Tooele. In 1966 she wed Jerry Poole and they were blessed with a daughter, Stephanie in 1971, and later divorced. She married Jerry Jones and their union was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. She loved hunting for antiques especially old furniture and dolls, and even tried her hand at making porcelain dolls of her own. She loved to entertain children and treasured her own grandchildren, Sierra and Morning Star. Some of her last days were spent sitting on the edge of a hospital bed, dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt, writing a heartfelt letter to her daughter, Stephanie.Waiting to welcome her to her heavenly home are her parents, Don R. and Roselyn Stringham Phillips; an infant son, John Benjamin; her brother Jeffrey; and husband Jerry. She left behind a daughter, Stephanie; sister, Shirley McKay; brother Bruce (Lorraine) Phillips; and granddaughters, Sierra and Morning Star. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held Monday April 26th. For details please call Tate Mortuary in Tooele.
