REDMOND, Utah--Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Jeannette Seegmiller Hales Peterson, age 94, died April 22, 1999 in Gunnison, Utah.

She was born May 19, 1904 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Chariton and Mary Jane Orrock Seegmiller, both deceased. She graduated from Richfield High School and attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught school in Aurora and Redmond, Utah. She married Gerald Hales, June 27, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They made their home in Salt Lake City, San Francisco, California and Redmond, Utah. He died September 12, 1971. She married Adley Peterson June 5, 1975 in Manti, Utah. He died July 31, 1991. Jeannette was an avid reader. She served as Redmond Town Clerk and was a member of the LDS Church.She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Bastian of St. George, Utah and a son, Gary and Janice Hales of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 11 great great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Jayne Street of Richfield. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Farrell Hales, her two husbands, a brother, Rolla Seegmiller, and three sisters: Fay Jacobsen, Fae Bachrach and Madelon Joy Seegmiller.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 26, 1999 at 12 noon in the Redmond LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning form 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
