Our beloved mother, Dora H. Nelson died April 27, 1999 with her sons by her side.

Dora was born in Firth, Idaho, the eldest child of Frank and Florence Hanny. She married Ivan E. Nelson in the Salt Lake Temple, 1941. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving a full time mission to the Western States in 1936. She was a gifted musician, playing the organ for the Sugar House Second Ward for over 25 years. She was a talented pianist, touching many lives through her performing and teaching. Dora dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969, her parents, a little sister, Joy, her brothers Austin and Grand, and a great-grandchild, Samuel Elijah. She is survived by her two sons Lamont L. (Ronda) and Larry A. (Dixie), 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Bountiful Health Care for their compassionate care, and a special thanks to the members of the Parkview LDS Branch for their service to Dora.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Redwood Memorial Estates Chapel, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday, April 30, 1999 from 6-8 .m. and one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery, 7800 South 3115 East, Salt Lake City, Utah.
