Lois Norita Foote Andrew, one of God's choicest daughters, returned to Him on April 6, 1999 with her loved ones at her side. She truly endured to the end with grace and dignity after suffering the affects of strokes and heart failure for the past three years.

True to the spirit of her pioneer heritage to which she was a tribute, Lois was born on July 24, 1923 in LaPointe, Utah to Warren and Amanda Emily Bowden Foote. After graduating from Gunnison High School, she moved to Salt Lake City to attend LDS Business College. Several businesses benefited from her clerical expertise for over 40 years. After retiring from office work Lois was affectionately known as "Grandma" to the children she loved and cared for at Aunt Lorreta's Daycare. On February 1, 1950, Lois married Albert Urie Andrew in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with four children: Albert Lynn and wife, Nancy Allred; Shauna and husband, Matt Brady; Lyle Warren Andrew; Marlene Andrew. 12 grandchildren were the joy of her life. Lois and Andy were divorced in 1979, but had a special relationship until his passing on February 15, 1998.

As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lois held many callings. She exemplified faith, hope, charity, meekness, humility and kindness throughout her life. Her Christ-like attributes were apparent and invited the same qualities from those who were in her presence.

Lois' sweet nature will be missed by those who survive her: children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Arnold and Thelma Foote, Kaye and Iown Jensen, Devon and Betty Foote, Lloyd and Ardine Foote, Odell and Helen Foote, Francis Dupaix, Dick and Melba Morris, Neldon Foote and Barbara Andrew; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Maurine F. Dupaix.

Funeral Services for Lois will be held on Saturday, April 10 at 12 noon at the Murray 10th Ward Chapel,5750 So. Nena Way (45 West). Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4670 South State and Saturday from 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
