Ruth Egbert Kitley, 78, died May 20, 1999.

Born August 6, 1920 in West Jordan, Utah to Wilford Earl and Olivia M. Gardner Egbert. Married Marvin Butterfield, later divorced. Married William F. Meyer Feb. 27, 1947. He preceded her in death. Married Claude E. Kitley in West Jordan on July 23, 1970. Claude died March 15, 1999. Ruth and Claude lived for many years in Carey, Idaho. Ruth graduated from Stevens-Henegar Business College and the Excelcius Beauty College. She operated her own beauty salon in West Jordan for 10 years. She loved to travel around the different states enjoying nature, the mountains, and rivers. Fishing was a great love of hers. She was also a devoted Utah Jazz fan. Most of all, Ruth loved spending time with her family. Her daughter and grandchildren were the delight of her life. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed.Survived by daughter, Nikki Densley (Steven); sons, Trent Kitley (Arlene); Steve Kitley; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Reid Egbert (Marian); Bruce Egbert (Kathy); Farnes Egbert (Lori); sisters, Kay Bell (Tom); Margaret Dahl (Harvey); preceded in death by a son, Michael Butterfield; and husbands, William F. (Bill) Meyer and Claude E. Kitley.

Funeral services Monday, May 24, 1 p.m., Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call on Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
