DUCHESNE -- The woman accused of helping her boyfriend get rid of evidence in a double murder has now been charged with threatening his sister with a gun.

Barbara J. Dehart, 45, Coeur d'Alene, was arrested May 13 in Park City and charged with aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, for allegedly threatening to kill Jenny Pinder, the sister of John R. Pinder.John Pinder, 41, is awaiting a capital murder trial for the deaths of Rex K. Tanner, 48, and June Flood, 59. The two were formerly employed on Pinder's ranch. Pinder and his ranch hand, Filomeno Valenchia-Ruiz, are accused of taking the pair to a remote location on the ranch, shooting them and then blowing up the bodies with explosives.

Dehart and Jenny Pinder were drinking at the main ranch house in Duchesne County on May 7 when they began arguing about the ranch, the charges state. As the confrontation turned physical, Dehart took out her pistol, loaded it, pointed it at Jenny Pinder's head and "told her she was going to kill her," according to the charges.

A ranch hand told investigators he was able to take the gun from Dehart and hide it from her to defuse the situation. Two days later, Dehart accused Jenny Pinder of stealing the gun and reported it missing to the sheriff's office.

An investigation turned up the gun, and charges were filed against Dehart. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 1.

Dehart is scheduled to go to trial June 15 on a charge of obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony. She is accused of traveling with Pinder to Idaho after the Oct. 25, 1998, slayings to dispose of body parts of the victims.

John Pinder's trial is scheduled for Jan. 10, 2000. Ruiz is slated to stand trial Nov. 1.
