I guess I got the whole issue of gun control backward. I always thought that it was people kill people, but now we know that it's the guns, darn it, it's the guns that are killing people, and they must be stopped! After all, people just don't kill people, right?

We don't need gun control; what we need are educated people owning guns (and that does not mean a hunters safety class either). I believe that most violent crime is committed by people who haven't graduated from high school or who have dropped out. I don't think there are many college-educated people committing the majority of the violent crime in this country.Superior education, I believe, is the answer to a lot of our social problems.

P.S. If we are going to regulate gun ownership, we also need to regulate everything else that causes death, because it's not people who cause death, right: It's everything around us causing the death. So let's regulate automobiles, knives, forks and frying pans.
