Mike Darcy passed away peacefully at home on May 2, 1999 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mike was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 13, 1945 to Stanley and Doris Ann Hamblin Darcy. His family moved around while he was young before settling in Utah. Mike served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed at L3 Communications for the past 20 years.Mike married Linda M. Lewis on October 30, 1968. Together they had two children who love him very much. Dad, we will miss you very much, you will be in our hearts every day.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Jeff (Sandra); daughter, Jennifer; his four grandchildren, Brett, Jessica, Kiersten, and Samantha; his mother, Anne Wisch and stepfather, Gene Wisch; sister, Lois Goodrich (Jerry), and cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Stanley Darcy.

Dad, your time was too swiftly gone, there was so much more left for you to do. Although the good-byes are hard now, you will be in our hearts until the day we are reunited.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. John Weis and his staff who were always there when we needed them. Also, the Heritage Hospice staff who took such good care of Dad, as well as the rest of the family; and to all the friends and neighbors who gave of their time and themselves.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 6, 1999, at 11 a.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 E. (Murray). Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary and Thursday, one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road, following the services.
