Gerrie Carol Elkin Perry, beloved wife, mother daughter, grandmother, and friend returned peacefully to her Father in Heaven June 19, 1999 following a long term illness.

Born December 14, 1952 in Salt Lake City to Harry and Betty Marakis Elkin. Married Kenneth Lee Perry June 29, 1972 Las Vegas, NV, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. Her special gift in life was giving unconditional love and uplifting others. Gerrie was a faithful member of the LDS church, presently serving a calling at the Jordan River Temple. Above all she loved her calling with her husband as a Primary teacher of the CTR eight-year-olds. Her last day was spent with friends and loved ones in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a true friend who always thought of others before her self and will be greatly missed.Survived by loving husband; daughter, DeAnna; son, Steven (Aundreia); grandchildren: Michael, Mikelle, Kade; brothers: John (Ailene), Harry (Sherri).

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 1999, 1 p.m., Crescent West Stake Center, 1245 E. 11000 South. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mort., 4760 So. State and Tuesday 12-12:45 at the church. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
