Obituary: Margaret Ruth (Peggy) Richards

Beloved wife, mother and Nana, Margaret Ruth Loftis-Alley Richards, 69, passed away June 26, 1999, from complications following heart surgery.

Born February 7, 1930, in Wellington, Utah, to John and Genelle Draper Loftis, and raised by a loving stepfather, James E. Alley. Married Marion R. (Jack) Richards on Nov. 6, 1953, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She loved her family, Heavenly Father, serving others and life long learning. Graduate of Holy Cross School of Nursing. Served in numerous positions in the LDS Church. She always made people feel loved and accepted and was a friend to all. She devoted her life to her parents, husband, children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker and an exceptional cook.

Survived by her husband, Jack; daughters, Michele (Harold) Irving; Robyn (Scott) Childs; Wendy (Vaughn) Burbidge; son, Randy; grandchildren, David, Michael, Eric, Brandon, Alex, Trevor, Carly, Rachel, Max, Joshua and Ryan. Preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel.

Funeral services will be held Tues., June 29, 1999, 11 a.m. at the Little Cottonwood 5th Ward, 6350 South Rodeo Lane (1545 East). Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and one hour prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
