Interwest Construction, North Salt Lake, has been selected as the general contractor for construction of a new U.S. Postal Service vehicle maintenance facility in South Jordan.
To be located adjacent to the South Jordan Post Office at 10102 S. Redwood Road, the facility will serve as a complete maintenance and service complex. It will consist of 10 service bays, paint and body booths and training rooms for the Postal Service's fleet of vehicles in the south half of the Salt Lake Valley, said Thelxi Hauenstein, customer relations coordinator for the Salt Lake City Post Office.Frank N. Murdock Jr. Architects & Associates, Salt Lake City, will design the $2.3 million, 23,000-square-foot complex. Construction is expected to be completed by December.
