Max Leland Putnam, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, born July 29, 1919 in Woodruff, Utah to Peter Cornia Putnam and Olivette Buttle, died July 14, 1999 at Cottonwood Hospital.
Married Louise Johannesen April 15, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. An active high priest in the Holladay Tenth Ward serving as the PFR for the Ward Building for seven years. World War II vet.Survived by his loving wife; five children, Sandra (Trevor) Gillings, Leland K. (Shauna) Putnam, Tamara L. Putnam, Darren B. (Lori) Putnam, Michele P. (Cory) Setterberg; favorite nephew, Kent E. (Tami) Bunker, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, one great granddaughter; sisters, Lucille P. Hobbs, Ardelle P. Pannell, Olive P. (Harold D.) Johnson; and sister-in-law, Mary L.S. Putnam; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Debra Louise, brother, Grant B. Putnam.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 17, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Holladay Memorial Cemetery, 4900 Memory Lane (1990 East). Funeral directors, Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary.
