HUNTINGTON--Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend, Beulah Ungerman McElprang, passed away at her home in Huntington, July 19, 1999.
She was born September 23, 1913 at Mountain Home, Utah to Victor LeRoy Ungerman and Anne Marie Hansen. Married Peter Elven McElprang November 14, 1934. Marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Elven died July 20, 1982.Beulah was a devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities on both the stake and ward level. She was especially dedicated to her calling as a Gospel Doctrine teacher in which she served for many years.
A well recognized talent was her exceptional ability to write stories, skits, poetry, and plays for family, friends, church, school and the community.
Survivors include children, Carol Joyce (Kent) Pilling, Mary Marie (Mac) Sitterud, Elven Lee (Lorie) McElprang, Beulah Mae (Don) Oveson, Donna Ruth Lemmon, and Thomas Reid (Teri) McElprang, all of Huntington, and Eddis Deanne (Mike) Witt of Heber City; 36 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, June Phelps, and a brother, Ralph Ungerman. Preceded in death by husband, an infant son, two great grandchildren, Stephanie Sitterud and Jaycee Grange, and two sons-in-law, Robert Oviatt and Lee Lemmon, parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 1999 at 11 a.m. at the 1st/5th Ward LDS Chapel in Huntington. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Huntington Cemetery.
