Ross G. Frandsen, age 75, died peacefully in his home July 20, 1999 of heart failure.
He was born Debember 2, 1923 in Price, UT, to Royal H. and LaPriel G. Frandsen. He married Geraldine Beach. They were later divorced. He married Maurine Barrett Adams, April 12, 1958. She died May 15, 1995.He attended school in Price. Ross served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was wounded in action. Following the war, he continued his education at the College of Eastern Utah. He was a policeman for Price City, then went on as an investigator with the State Tax Commission serving 36 years in law enforcement. He was a successful farmer and rancher for many years with a family owned farm in Price and a ranch in Minnie Maud, Duchesne County. He especially enjoyed deep sea fishing with his brother-in-law Bud Barrett. He was a worldwide traveler and an avid fisherman. He was a member of the VFW and BPOE (Elks)
Ross is survived by one daughter and one son: Karen A. Cole and Barry (Suzanne) Adams. Grandchildren; Tricia (Tony) Ferguson, Patrick, Heather, and Mike Cole, Jenny, Chris, and Sara Adams. Two Brothers, Lynn R. Frandsen (Riverton), Douglas R. Frandsen (Saratoga, CA) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Maurine, two sons, David and Scott Frandsen, a Grandson Anthony Scott Ferguson and a nephew, Mark Frandsen.
Funeral Services Friday, July 23, 1999, at 11 a.m. in the Kolob 8th Ward Chapel, 840 South 400 East, Springville. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery. Military Rites by the Spanish Fork American Legion Post #68.
