Sherman Carl Nabaum, age 91, passed away on July 2, 1999 in Sandy, Utah.

He was born September 28, 1907 in Murray, Utah to Carl Nabaum and Catherine Agnes Hobbs. Married Helen Cannon September 17, 1931 in Coalville, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. Helen Nabaum died July 13, 1988.Sherman was an active member of the LDS church. He worked in the industrial heating and lighting business for over 60 years. He was active in political and civic groups. He was instrumental in bringing gas and electrical service and appliances to many parts of Salt Lake City and in promoting skiing at Alta Canyon in its early years.

He is survived by two sons, Roger Nabaum, Grants Pass, OR; Stephen Nabaum (Anne), Sandy, UT; two daughters, Nancy Porcker, Rogue River, OR; Susan Boetticher (Bill), Camarillo, CA; sister, Mildred Graves, Midvale, UT; six grandchildren, Alex Nabaum (Shayna), Aaron Nabaum, Krista Nabaum, Abby Nabaum, Austin Nabaum, Patrick Boetticher; and one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Nabaum.

Memorial services are pending. Burial will be at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
