BOUNTIFUL--Earl Z Carbine, 90, long time resident of Bountiful, passed away Saturday, July 3, 1999, in Uintah, Utah.
Born July 1, 1909 in LaGrand, Oregon to Edmund Z Carbine and Anna Clementina Hawkins. Married Lillis Janet Johnson on September 24, 1935 in Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. Resided in Las Cruces, New Mexico, until his retirement from the U.S. Reclamation Service in 1969. Active in the LDS Church all his life, holding positions in the Sunday School, Young Men, and Primary as well as serving a Stake Mission. He served a full time mission with his sweet wife in the South Dakota, Rapid City Mission, 1976-78.Survived by his daughters, Earlene (James ) Stewart, Farmington, UT; and Ann (Rick) Crowther, Layton, UT. Sons, Delbert (Donna) Carbine, Newbury Park, CA; Larry (Anne) Carbine, Charlottesville, VA; Eugene (Cheryl) Carbine, Uintah, UT; Art (Susan) Carbine, Sterling, VA; Mervyn Carbine, Salt Lake City, UT; Stanley (Trish) Carbine, Las Cruces, NM; Randy (Lisa) Carbine, Salt Lake City, UT; 44 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife; one son, Bart; parents; two brothers, six
sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, 1999 at 10 a.m. at the Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, where friends and family may call on Wednesday, July 7 from 6-8 p.m. Interment, Lakeview Memorial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
