FILLMORE -- A Draper man was killed near Fillmore Sunday after he fell asleep at the wheel and his vehicle rolled.

Killed was:Brand S. Deweese, 30, Draper.

Deweese was northbound on I-15 some 13 miles south of Fillmore when the accident occurred at about 3 p.m., a Millard County Sheriff's Office press release states. He apparently fell asleep, awoke as his truck hit the left shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected and rolled as many as four times, police said.

Both Deweese and his wife, Janell H. Deweese, 27, were wearing seat belts, but the force of the impact as the truck rolled caused Brand Deweese to be ejected, Utah Highway Patrol trooper Mike Thomas said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
