EPHRAIM, Utah--Ella Christiana Young Rossi, 94, passed away peacefully in Mayfield, Utah, August 25, 1999.
She was born March 27, 1905, in Huntington, Utah, to Frank Albion and Karen Metthea Rasmussen Young. She was a member of the LDS Church. She married Lee Sullivan, later divorced. Married Homer Perkins Willis, he preceded her in death. Married Jim Rossi, he preceded her in death.Ellas three children, Ross Sullivan, LaRee Merrell, and Eda Cherry have all preceded her in death.
Grandma Chris was greatly loved by all her grandchildren for her many stories of her life that spanned nearly all of the 20th Century, and the many pinochle games.
Ella spent most of her adult life in Napa, California. She lived for eight years in Ephraim and was cared for by her daughter, Eda, then for the last 18 months of her life in the loving care of the staff at the Mayfield Community Care Center.
She is survived by 11 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, August 28, 1999, at 11:30 a.m. in the Ephraim 5th LDS Ward Relief Society Room, 10 South Main in Ephraim, where friends may call on Saturday after 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby-Jensen Mortuary, Salina and Gunnison, UT.
