STANSBURY PARK, Tooele County -- The University of Utah Health Network saw its first patient in its new building at the Stansbury Medical Center, 220 Millpond Road, in Stansbury Park recently and will celebrate its grand opening on Aug. 21.

The 12,000-foot facility will feature 20 exam rooms, an in-house pharmacy and full-service vision center and care will be provided by three board-certified family practice physicians, a nurse practitioner, two optometrists and a pharmacist on staff. Visiting University of Utah School of Medicine specialists will also see patients throughout the year.The center will celebrate with an open house, including a back-to-school health fair, ribbon cutting and more on Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon. Health fair activities include immunizations for children, sports physicals for teens and glucose checks for adults.

Stansbury Medical Center is the ninth U. Health Network center to open along the Wasatch Front. The network is an outpatient primary care and multi-specialty physician group located in medical centers across the Wasatch Front. All centers have on-site labs and X-ray and many offer full vision and pharmacy services. It's part of the School of Medicine.
