LEHI--Clifford Robert Gurney, age 86, of Lehi, died Sept. 10, 1999 in Orem, Utah.
He was born Sept. 29, 1912 in Lehi, the son of Francis Eugene and Margary Ann Kinder Gurney. Married Floria Jane Brooks, June 1, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked as a supervisor for Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also served as a church custodian. He loved the out-of-doors.Survived by his wife of Lehi; one son and two daughters, Dayle Robert (Jeannie) Gurney, Dana Lee Gurney, both of Lehi, Mrs. Laurel (Colleen) Fullmer, Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Ireta) Gurney, Pleasant Grove; three sisters, Wanda Wilson, Donna Draper, both of Lehi, and Mrs. Garn (Karma) Brereton, Orem. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral, Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 200 South 200 West. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
