Our beloved wife , mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother, Ruth C. Dudley, age 87, returned to her Heavenly Father, following a long illness on Sept. 16, 1999.
She was born Oct. 20 1911 in Spanish Fork, UT to Joseph and Margaret Roach Chapple. Married Lyndon L. Dudley, Feb. 4, 1932 in Provo, UT, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Active member of the LDS Church, served as a Primary and Relief Society president, Junior Sunday School coordinator, visiting teacher and loved to sing in the ward choir. Active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, an avid bowler. She loved little children and they loved her and she was happiest when she was serving neighbors and loved ones.
Survivors: husband; son, Don (Kay) Dudley; daughters, Mary (Jack) Rudd, Helen Curtis, Kaye Dineen, Lois (Doug) Wimmer; 23 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Rudd; great-granddaughter, Erika Dudley; and a great-grandson, Kyle J. McCashland; six brothers and one sister.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 at 12 noon at the Springview LDS Ward, 711 East Jepson Ave. (3225 So.). Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the Church, 11 to 11:45 am. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
