Patricia Ann Stoddard, 44, died September 18, 1999 from cancer.She was born January 5, 1955 to Jack Bawden and Kathryn Fenton McBride Bawden in Salt Lake City, Utah. From the age of nine she was raised by her father and her beloved mother, Helen Bawden. Graduated from South High School and the University of Utah with an Associate Degree in Sociology. Worked for Valley Mental Health at A.R.T.U. and I.T.U. blessing the lives of countless people with her expertise and calm, caring manner. She also worked on a research project at the University on schizophrenia. She taught, directed, and owned day care centers and also authored a detailed preschool curriculum. Married Con Kostopulos; they were later divorced. While working on a Bachelor's Degree, she met Shane Stoddard at the University. They were married September 20, 1980 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had four children. She served her many friends with love and understanding. Compassion was her way of life, and she was loved by all who knew her. She blessed many lives in her church service which included Primary President and Young Women's president.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Cassie, Megan and Holly; son, Tyson; parents, Jack and Helen Bawden; brothers and sisters, Janet (Gary) McPhie, Blaine (Ina) Hoskins, Christie (Douglas) Foster, Jay Hoskins, Charlene (Mike) Peterson, Bruce (Terri) Bawden, Dale (Nancy) Hoskins, Jeff (Janine) Bawden, Bob Bawden; more than 50 nieces and nephews and many loving cousins. Preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 23, 12 noon at the Glenmoor 4th Ward, 4881 West Cindy Lane (9660 South), South Jordan. Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 11-11:45 am. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
