Donald LeGrand Conover, 71, passed away September 22, 1999, in Salt Lake City.
Born October 23, 1927, to Paul and Myrtle Showell Conover. Married Jessie Brandley on September 22, 1956. Donald worked for Westinghouse for 40 years as an Area Service Manager. He excelled in athletics, especially as a baseball and fast-pitch softball pitcher. He also enjoyed nature and the outdoors. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening.He is survived by his wife, Jessie Brandley Conover; daughter, Deb Conover; sons, Russell (Debbie) and Don Conover Jr., Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also survived by his sisters, Jerry Conover, Fern Jacobsen; brothers, Pete (Erma) Conover and Paul (Charlene) Conover; and the light of his life, granddaughters, Lindsey and Kristen Conover. Preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Marian, Cleo, Dora, Gladys and Beulah.
A viewing will be held Friday, September 24, 1999, at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary (2350 E. 1300 S.) from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 25, at Brighton 1st Ward (3001 E. Bengal Blvd.) at 11 a.m. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates.
