"Gone Fishing"
Glen Lewis Morse, age 76, passed away at home in Salt Lake City on January 11, 2000 after a long illness.Born July 28, 1924 in Hyde Park, Utah to Lester J. and Tessie Mae Cook Morse. He married Shirley Fields later divorced; and Nettie Hansen, also divorced. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dad passed away at home on the morning of January 11, 2000, after a long illness. He was the owner and operator of City Service Building Maintenance until retirement. No one could clean a window like Glen L. He served his country in World War II. Glen had many friends and was always ready to help someone. Many called him "Uncle" and "Grandpa". He loved his grandchildren. His last memory was his five little great-grandchildren putting on a Christmas program for him. He will be missed by many. "We will meet you by that big fishing hole in the sky!"
Survivors are his son, Glen Barry Morse (Sandy); five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, and four sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2000 in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Rosemont Park Section, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City. Family and friends may call at the mortuary from 11:15-12:15 p.m., prior to services. Funeral directors, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
