Beloved husband, daddy, grandpa, Albert Yazzie, 78, returned to our Heavenly Father September 29, 2000.
He was born March 9, 1922 in Two Wells, NM to Yahesbah Newman Begay. On May 19, 1954 he married Dorothy Yazza of Rehoboth, NM. They spent 47 inseparable years together as husband and wife. He worked for Union Pacific Rail-road and then retired from Kennecott Cop-per mine after 34 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Paul Yazzie, Lucy Golsan, Jolene Oehring, Allen Yazzie, Nancy Yazzie, Alfred Yazzie, Johnson Yazzie, Pat Yazzie, Elaine Lay, Dawn Yazzie, Dorothy Yazzie, Raymond Yazzie, Elsie Yazzie; 30 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Olive Mae Russell, Yehebah Garcia (Sani), both of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters; two sons; and two daughters.
Services will be held Tuesday Oct 3, 2000, 1 p.m. at the LDS 23rd Ward, 7255 S. 2200 W, West Jordan. A viewing will be Monday at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd, 6-8 p.m. or Tuesday one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Any contributions for funeral services are appreciated and will be accepted at the Yazzie home, 2195 W. 7125 S, West Jordan or Redwood Memorial Estates in Albert Yazzie's name.
