Lula Mann Lund, 99, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Friday, October 27, 2000, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Cowley, WY Oct 26, 1901, to Charles B. and Myra Hatch Mann, the second of five children, all of whom preceded her in death. She married Grant Lund Sept 21, 1921, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1971, the following year he passed away.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Apache Wells, AZ renewing friendships with their "snow bird" friends. She was an expert bridge player and later in life took up golf. She enjoyed making dried flower arrangements and shared them with family members and friends. She enjoyed her church callings and her membership in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Lula, with her friendly outgoing nature, touched many lives.

She began making candy as a hobby before she was married, and later took it up again, selling her chocolates commercially under the name of Mrs. Lund's candy, continuing well into her 90's. She was also known for her butter mints which she freely shared with her friends and family.

She is survived by her two daughters and one son: Helen (Earl) Fillmore, Carol (James) Williams, Salt Lake City, and Grant (Marilyn) Lund, Sacramento, CA.
